Arrived safely in Lüneburg, Germany.
A lot of Autobahns. A lot of heavy traffic returning to Hamburg from summer holidays. Some spectacular crashes and epic traffic jams, so I took off across the country on B roads. Beautiful farmland, houses, barns and incredible forests! Tree tunnels everywhere – so relaxing. Some of the drivers are quite aggressive, especially the PolishContinue reading “Arrived safely in Lüneburg, Germany.”
German Autobahns!
The roads from Essen to Lüneburg are busy but amazing. Toilets are a bit dirty – should be cleaned more often given the sheer volume of people using them. The smokers here are disgusting. My Guard Dog in Essen
4 countries in one day!
My straight through drive saw me cross northern France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and rocket into Germany today. Great roads. Crazy traffic getting past Antwerp, but otherwise, 440 kilometres were easily covered. Average 5.2 l/100 kms at 130 km/h is sensational given the sky-high cost of fuel in Europe! Fresh food, strong coffee, beautiful farmlands, andContinue reading “4 countries in one day!”
