The roads from Essen to Lüneburg are busy but amazing. Toilets are a bit dirty – should be cleaned more often given the sheer volume of people using them. The smokers here are disgusting. Went to a place recommended by Maria. Super strong coffee. Got chatting with the guy sitting next to me. Boeing 747 Senior First Officer with Lufthansa.  His friend arrived. Airbus A320 Captain. Lots of aviation talk. Very cool meeting…

My straight through drive saw me cross northern France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and rocket into Germany today. Great roads.
