Pori, Finland
Catch up with my friend Anu, visit with her friends and family, dinner out at a very tasty restaurant. Lots of laughs and storytelling. A place also to rest and re operate after 4,000 kilometres and 8 countries. Finnish countryside is so peaceful, charming and relaxing. Winter, however, is another story.
Stunning Airbnb in Mynamaki, Finland
Super fresh and comfortable. Great Host too..
Insanely gorgeous here, even if the weather turned a bit shit
Ships pass very close to each other at less than 6 knots
This ferry ride of 11 hours, daytime in good weather, should be on everyone’s Bucket List
It’s indescribably beautiful. Pictures do not do it justice. The massive ship has to slow to less than 8 knots in so many areas where the distance between islands is only about 2 ship widths. Spectacular to watch and experience. I can’t believe my luck with the weather!
On board the “Grace Viking”
12 stories above the sea. What an immaculate vessel. Stunning. And deserted. Off-peak travel is the best. The ship will traverse narrow passages between hundreds of islands before heading across the Baltic Sea to Finland, where more islands await. 15 degrees. Sunshine.
Ferry docking Stockholm
Bye bye Sweden
