Drive from Bialystok to Kielce in Poland

Sunday 15 September 2024

Superb roads. 400 kms today – easy.

North of Warsaw, flat with mega farms of grains interspersed with some really beautiful forests.  The weather is so warm that forests can not make up their mind whether to go into autumn colours, so there are random patches of yellows, oranges, and reds, but not much.  Flowers everywhere still.

Took the ring road bypass to the west of Warsaw. To the south, industrial farming of fruit and vegetables. More great forests and some hills to break up the drive.

Roadside stops were fabulous with lots of very clean toilets and other amenities. Well done, Poland.

Paid about AUD$2.45 a litre for diesel on the way.

My Airbnb is a cracker! I love it.

Gave the car a well-deserved wash after a week of road grime in the rain.

Local advertising for new apartments. Too many syllables!  🤣
