The roads from Essen to Lüneburg are busy but amazing.
Toilets are a bit dirty – should be cleaned more often given the sheer volume of people using them.
The smokers here are disgusting. Just about everyone smokes at the Autobahn stops – yuck!
I expect nice cars to be driving flat out at over 200 km/h in the far left lane but I saw, and measured, some real lunatics this morning.
Tradesmen in Ford Transit vans – I followed 2 and measured their speed at 105 mph or 170 km/h. Insane.
Worse was a guy by himself in a Ford based motorhome at the same ridiculous speed! WTF?
At one point, I was cracking along at 112 mph or 180 km/h when a Kia Sorrento SUV scorched past me at 135 mph, or 220 km/h or more! It was rocking from side to side with instability!
I normally sit in the centre line at 130 km/h (80 mph), getting 5.2 l / 100 kms or 55 mpg, which is impressive…
At the rest stop, I’m connected to 5G, roaming and getting over 130 Mbps download speeds!
The home-made sandwich on the road is best!
